A holiday in Samsø begins at sea - a couple of hours' driving from the Danish-German border. These days you seldom travel by ferry but here you get a chance to find your inner peace while you enjoy the magnificent sail to the oasis in the Kattegat.

Samsø has it all - especially nature. We have beach, heath, woods, steep slopes - and, in the northern part, magnificent hills. Everything within reach on foot, bike or in car.
We have lots of culture. Samsø is a sanctuary for a large number of artists and the museums present the rich cultural history of the island.

Try horseriding in the gorgeous landscape, a game of tennis or get lost in the largest maze in the World.
Three camping grounds have a mini-golf course but we also have the real thing. Samsø's seaside golf course is situated by the eastern shore with its 18 holes wonderfully situated in the landscape between the middle-age church and the sea. Here everybody can try their talent with a golf club.
